heros.

What is your definition of a hero? What qualities or characteristics does a hero have? Does the definition of a hero change over time?

My definition of a hero is someone who helps other people. A hero doesn't have to be like superman or spider man. There are hero's everywhere, for example, if you and your friend are swimming and you start to drowned and they save you. Well then they are a hero cause they saved your life. The characteristics of a hero are, when people help other people. Heros try to help everyone they can. No , I think the definition of hero never changes, unless people stop helping other people.
A hero is somebody that saves people, and a hero is always there for people. A hero is a good guy.

Heros

My definition of a hero is someone who is brave and courageous. Someone who can be anywhere at any time and be willing to help out.A hero is someone who has to have a positive attitude and be very friendly.A hero is not only someone who can save your life but also someone who is there for you when you need it the most. Someone who never gives up and always strives for the better is a true hero.

Hero's

My definition of a hero is a person who helps out and is very brave, mostly up for anything when something happens. A hero is a person who is life saving for example a fire fighter someone who can save someone when they are in great danger. You have to be brave and be a good role model to be a hero because a hero is a person who helps others and also a person who sets examples for others. If someone see you doing something good they would want to do the same thing because some people are followers not leaders but if you can be a leader it is better. That is my definition of a hero. =]

Heroes

A hero is a person who can change a lifestyle thats bad to a better one. A hero can also be a superhero that saves people. To me, it is a person who changes a lifestyle to a better one than it used to be. A hero is strong and doesn't ever give up. Neither on a job nor a dream. The definition of a hero can change overtime like it has. It used to mean superhero but now it is a person who can make a difference for the better.

Heros

A hero to me is someone who is strong and likes to help other people, for example a hero can be a doctor , a police officer , maybe even a teacher. A police officer is a hero because they protect and help other people, when someone is in danger or hurt they help that person, also because they are at risk sometimes while they help people and i think that is good because they'll give up their life for others. Another hero to me is a Doctor because when you are hurt and on a risk of dying they help you out. another reason is because they save many of peoples of lie everyday.
Another hero to me can be a teacher , because they help us learn and help us get a good education, i also think they are hero's because they put up with squash everyday and still come to school and are willing to teach . That's a definition of a Hero.

Heroes

My definition of a hero would have to be someone who never gives up, and always has a positive attitude. For example, my mom is my hero. One reason she is my hero is mainly because she is always there when I need her, and she does everything that she can to support my brother, and I. Being a hero doesn't mean dressing up in a Superman outfit, and saving the world. That's just stereotypical to me. Because when you look into the deeper definition of a hero, it is someone who you can look up to. Like for instance, someone that can be your role model. The definition of a hero may change over time, depending on who your talking about. For example, if you ask a toddler who his hero is, he's most likely to say Spider Man, or somewhere along those lines. But on the other hand, if you ask a teenager who their hero is, they might respond with someone like an artist, or their favorite actor, or actress. They might even respond with saying one of their siblings, or even a family member.

Heroes

"What is your definition of a hero? What qualities or characteristics does a hero have? Does the definition of a hero change over time?"

The word hero has a different meaning in everyone, meaning there is a audible definition for everybody's hero. My hero, is one who can help me with my issues, not necessarily issues like you'd see in a comic book, but ideologically speaking as well. The closest thing to a hero, to me, would be my father, he's always helped me with problems I've had if any, and on my math homework. He visits me whenever possible. More than likely, I'm sure everyone has some sort of hero in their life, that has helped them make it this far. If you don't, how have you made it this far?
What is your definition of a hero? What qualities or characeristics does a hero have?Does the definition of a hero change over time?

the word hero means to me is , a hero is some one you look up to ,it doesn't even matter if you are an adult or a child people have there ways of looking up to a hero .any ways in my prospective the word would never change .

Heroes

My definition of a hero is someone who helps others. I know plenty of people who think a hero is only in movies and someone who has super powers and cool costumes. I think a hero has a nice personality and can easily get along with everyone. They also have a good look on life. How are you going to have a hero with depression or anger in him/her. A hero doesn't have to save you
physically, they can also save you mentally and spiritually. I don't think the definition of a hero can change over time because then anything can change. Can the definition of a villian change over time? I don't think so.

Hero

Most people think that a hero is a strong person that fights off monster. But in real life heros are normal people like you or me. I think the definition of a hero is a person that is brave and helps people. The qualities I think a person must have is he must help people when they are in danger they must also be smart. I think the definition of a hero does change over time because sometimes people may be kind to others but than when they get older they become more caring about them selfs. That is what I think a hero is.

Heroes

A hero is some boby that save some ones life. Ahero is a good person becuse they save people live like if they are in death or some thing.Yes it do change over time. it changes over time becuse afther will they would not wont to be called a hero

Do most people naturally want to be good ?Or most people only care about themselves?

well i think that it depends on how you were brought up or raised ,because
some people don't care what or how the were raise .but on the real side people will behave if they don't have bad influences in their life or surroundings.
I care about myself ,but some people have low self- esteem so that would make them not care about themselves, but people with confidence take very good care of their self .

MDG/COA Question

In my opinion, I think that people naturally want to be good. There's no descent person out there that wants to do bad things, at the wrong time, and pay the consequences. Usually when people act like they only care about themselves, they might be having a rough day, or they might just want to seek revenge. When people are trying to be good, they usually don't succeed much, as though, people that are not selfish, and follow rules, and don't break the law.
I remember one time, when my life was tough at one point, my cousin and my best friend started talking. One day I found out that both of them were saying things behind my back. As soon as I found out the horrible things they were saying about me, I felt so back stabbed, and betrayed by my own family, and friend. Obviously, I wanted to seek revenge, but at heart, that's not the type of person I am. I just let it go, and day by day passed, and they both ended up apologizing for their dumb mistake.

MDG/COA QUESTION

Most people only care about themselves

1. The first story's antagonist thinks that weaker humans than he is are just made to serve the strong which is a self-centered way of thinking. The second story's antagonit/main character, he murdered his own friend just for only a mere insult that even I could just laugh at it and forget it forever like it neer did existed. Those are my proofs from the story that we read.

2. The guys here that think so much better than others, are the best examples, they want others to give hem respect for just being strong but unessessary fightin is just for people who wants to show off or just to prove that they are man enough, which only means that they doubt on what they're real gender is. He thinks that he is better then the others and doesn't think of what others think of him. The second good example is the people who does nothing and displays their bulky bodies around a certain area then makes a mess and theybame others that it is their fault while he is the really one who did it. Those are my examples for the people in the real world but this didn't happened to me but I see these things almost everyday.

MDG/COA

1. I think i put myself in the good section because i was raised like that. i was tough to take care of myself, try to act like the person i am and to have respect. i think that everyone was some what the same way. i have responsibilities: like doing the dishes when i get home everyday, picking up my little sister, doing my home work, and keeping my grades average. i think at time that this is all dumb and i don't need to do it but everything has it consequence and i don't wont to fine out what mine are ;yet. at times i will tell you yes i don't slack but i keep my self up and do everything i am supposed like a good girl should be. so i think always at time being good and respectful comes in handy because the out come is wonderful
I think that most people just care about them selves, because there is so many people these days being really mean to ohter people for no reason. But there is always some one who cares, or is not mean. But i do think every kid has his good days and has his babd days, some people just have it every day. But thats what i think about promt 1....

MDG/COA Question

I think that most people do try to be good, but there is always those people who only care about themselves. I think that its about half of the people, one half that try to be good and one half that only cares about themselves. Like General Zaroff for example, he does not care for anyone but himself, even if it means killing other people for fun.

Then there are some cases when people do something that they think will do good but backfires and actually causes bad things to happen. Like for example, my brother had been going through my backpack and he took my homework out of it. I went to school the next day and got a zero for it. When i got home I asked why he was in my backpack and he said he was trying to be nice and organize it. So you see sometimes you mean good, but it doesnt always turn out good.

Quetion on Humanity

Paragraph 1: I think people sometimes are naturly bad. I think this because when people are young they tend to be bad. Than in the future they become even worse than before. Some people are just bad like the general in "The Most Dangerous Game". All he did was kill people! Unlike montresor I dont think he wanted to do what he did but he couldn't let fortunato get away with what he did. That why I think some people are born bad and some people make mistakes.

Paragraph 2:Their was A personal problem that I had is that thier was A bulley at my elementry school. He was nice at the beging of the year but than he changed. He got into the wrong crowd I think. Than when he started hanging around me and my friends he started to calm down. At the end of the year he got the most improved student award. That is one of my personal problem I had.

Question number one and response

Part 1: The writing process I find most dificult is sumarizing. I find it the most difficult because you have to sumarize the whole promt in a few paragraphs. Also beause their may be so many paragraphs that you my have dificult to get the main points into sevral paragraphs. That is why I think sumarizing is the most dificult part in the writing process.

Part 2:I think I could improve my sumarizing skill is to practice writing smaller promts than working up to the larger promts. I could also work in work books on sumarizing to help me get all of the main points into the story. The last way I could ask the teacher for help if I needed some advise. That is how I think I could improve my writing skills.

Still Confused

Mrs. Capelle don't we have a question we are supposed to be answering? All I see for Mrs. Capelle's Fourth Period Class is the same question that we had before.

****PUT "QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE" AS YOUR POST'S TITLE****

Part I: What part of the writing process do you find the most challenging? (Pre-writing (brainstorming), drafting (putting words to paper), revising for quality, editing for errors, or publishing your work.) Explain which part is the hardest for you and explain why you struggle with it.

**Note: You can choose more than one part of the writing process, but you need to explain why each part you choose is hard for you.

Part II: What do you think you could do to improve your skills in that part of the writing process? (Be specific. Saying, "I could practice more," is not going to be specific enough to answer this question.)

Sunday, September 9, 2007

What part of the writing process do you find most challennging?

i think that pre-writing is the most difficult one because when you write down what you are thinking about then ,then like the next minute or day you will think of something else more better or something that makes more since to you or your reader.
What would make me understsnd more is to just put down many ideals as i caan to come up with a better pre-writhing draft .

.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE

I think the hardest part in the writing progress is revising for quality and editing for errors.I think this is the hardest part because for me if i write it I'm going to think everything is good and i don't need to do any revising but i really do need to do revising or editing for errors. Also sometimes i be forgetting i need to do that and i know im not the only one that forget because alot of people be forgetting. So this is why I think its the hardest part in the writtin progress.

I think i can practice more and start writing more so i can improve my writing skills.

question #1 response

question #1 response

I think brainstorming is the worst because you have to think real hard and understand the sequence and the processing and the details. Also brainstorming takes alot of brainwork. another thing is drafting, because you have to no where to indent and put the word together.

question number one response

The hardest writing process for me is brainstorming. This process is hard for me because I like to just write what I feel instead of planning what to write. All of my teachers always say you need to brainstorm before you write your paper, but normally I dont brainstorm. A lot of students don't normally brainstorm because it wastes the time you have to write. To improve my skills in this process I could try to brainstorm more before I write. The more I brainstorm the better I will get at doing it. Also I have noticed that when I do brainstorm about something I know about or something I am passionate about my writing is better.

questoin number one response

The hards part of the writing process is the plotting. It takes up most of every ones time but they also say that it it helps you make since of your work. i dont think so I think i do fine with out it. I will idmit that sometimes it helps with my work but the other thing is that they dont give you enough time on the assignment to do the work and write the essay to......

Question one response

I happen to think that putting words to paper is the hardest part of the writing process. After you've already thought up everything, writing your idea seems diffficult. When you write your ideas down, you start to notice mistakes that you've never noticed when you were brainstorming. You have your idea, but now you have to figure out how you'll put it on paper. I'm sure that anyone can come up with and idea, but in my opinion, it's very special if you can put your idea on paper and still make it sound better the second time around.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE

Part 1: Brainstorming; normally an activity I skip when working on an essay or a short-story, because normally I can't come up with things when I'm forced to. Normally things just come out as they go when I'm writing, which I find better. Luckily, I'm rarely forced to brainstorm, because it normally doesn't help me. Sometimes I can successfully brainstorm, but only once in a blue moon. I'm fine with the ability to write fluidly, to be honest, I'm quite happy about it. Although being able to write fluidly doesn't dramatically effect my ability and speed of my writing, it does provide me with more time to write and less time to spend thinking about what I'm going to be writing.

Part 2: If I wanted or needed to, I could work on improving my brainstorming skills by practicing by just thinking and planning out essays to write, but not actually writing them.
Publishing your work is the most challenging, for me because when you read other peoples work some people have sloppy hand writing. Some have mistake's on in there work that is hard to understand. When writing paragraphs or short stories or even planning out things it can also be misunderstanding to.So when you start your writing is to always to be very understanding and very readable, your writings is to always be prepared in the right way and very legable. If your writing is not legeble you can get lots of points taken off, and sometimes a letter grade. some people wonder why there letter grade goes down or why they failed for the sumester and thats because they did not pay attention in class or when they didn't understand how to do something they did not bother to ask.

Question number one response.

Question number one response.
The most challenging writing process for me is brainstorming. The reason why it is a challenging part is because i have a hard time thinking about what i should write.I end up wasting my time to write when i could have already started. The way that i can become better is by taking all of my thoughts and putting them together.I can become faster at thinking about what i need to write.done.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE.
the most challenge writing process for me is brainstroming cause I do not have any thing to write about in the brain storming process that's just so hard for to writing cause brainstroming they say is probadly the easy thing to do in writing a eassy do it's not me.

Qustion number one response

The part that i find difficult,is publishing your work.I think that is the most difficult one for me, because some times the pre-writting dosn't go with what i realy want to write, and then i have to think of a good sentence to go with the publishing work. And I also think it is difficult, because some times the pre-writting sound's good, but once you want to publish it,it dosn't sound good and than you will have to find another sentence or phrase to go good with your work. And one more reason why i dont like to publish, is because i cant write what i realy want to say,and i have to make it sound good as possible.

Question#1 response

Part 1: The most challenging fo me is brainstorming. The more people present on brainstorming the harder for any idea to be agreed on. The ideas are good but not all of us are surely going to agree about that. The ideas are many but they are only few that can be considered a good idea and interesting. The idea must be not about us it must be written according to the interest of the readers. That is why brainstorming is the hardest for me.

Part 2: I think in order to improve my brainstorming skills is to think more straight. The reason behind the success of many novelist, journalist, and writters because they were able to capture the thoughts oa their readers. They always think about the interest of others and for their passion not the money. I also may try to ask oppinions with what am I going to write or thinking about writting. Writting for me is a hobby, a passion, and most importantly it became part of my life for me that is enough motivation and inspiration for me to write, I believe that could help me improve not only my brainstorming skills but also the others in the process.

Question #1 Response

The part of the writing process that I find the most challenging, in my opinion, would be brainstorming. The reason for this is mainly because you can run into small issues, when coming up with writing prompt ideas. For example, when you are under a limited amount of time, people tend to get stressed out. Therefore, they tend to start worrying about how much time they have left, rather then ideas for what they are going to be writing about. Another obstacle people might run into might be fitting all the ideas together, to have the essay make sense. Although, brainstorming is the most creative writing process in general, it may lead to being the toughest.

In order for me to improve my skills on this part of the writing process, might be to brainstorm on my own time, and have someone time me. This is a good theory, because when your stuck in this situation, you wont freak out about the littlest things, like the time that you have remaining. Another option, might be to take an assortment of prompts, and brainstorm for each one. This is also a good option because it can teach you a lesson. One, getting all of your thoughts together, then writing it down on a piece of paper. Last but not least, You might think of easier ways to brainstorm, without wasting any of your time.

Question # 1 responce

+
Question number 1 response: I think the hardest part of writing for me to do is edit my work for errors. Is the hardest thing for me to do because i don't really go back to all my work i just finish doing. i think that i already did all the hard work and that i tried my best; and it is hard for me to do because i dint no when things are wrong. i get very confused and frustrated real fast. i have Meany other things that i have difficulties in but i think that is my works subject.
